This elegant, one-of-a-kind, hand-cut paper mandala is made in Vermont by Cynthia Emerlye. These fantasy snowflake-like mandalas are formed in a circle pattern with four, six, eight or twelve sides. Each mandala is imagined when it is being cut, thus forming a completely unique creation. These mandalas have a kaleidoscope quality; one can see different shapes and images the longer you look. After cutting, this 8" form is signed, ironed flat, laminated and strung on a gold cord for hanging or placing in a window. These mandalas look elegant hanging from a chandelier, pot-rack or grouped together in a window and will last for many seasons of pleasure. Enjoy this beautiful cutwork creation all year long!

These hanging mandalas make wonderful gifts! They come packaged in a clear plastic sleeve against a black background to show off the design. On the back of the package is a description of kirigami and Cynthia's work. In addition, each mandala comes with a laminated tag describing the art of kirigami. Despite the similarity to snowflake decorations, these works are meant to be enjoyed any time. Most customers leave them up year round.
