Versailles Silk Damask Boater Hat

Description

The court of Versailles was the centre of fashion in France during Marie Antoinette's reign. All that gorgeous rococo and silk damask inspired this little boater.

Dusty French blue silk damask with a silvery yellow pattern mixed with accenting blue silk and satin.

Underside of brim is blue satin.
Lining is iridescent blue rayon.

Decorated with charming bow and glittery brooch with hand wrapped center piece.

Brim of hat is wired so it can be molded to suit your style. Worn up on the sides or flattened (as shown) to be more of a traditional boater style.

Hat head size is 21.5" but it is meant to perch on the head. I wear a 22.5" head size and I can easily wear this as shown in the pictures.
