Earth's Surface Fused Glass Dichroic Stack Pendant
Description
Seven layers of glass go into this beautiful composition, which is first fused to melt the layers into one solid block, then cut with a lapidary saw, ground on a diamond wheel, and fire-polished again in the kiln for glossy, rounded edges. The color of dichroic glass shifts with light and angle, so it's a different pendant from every viewpoint!This one is like a 3D topographic map of the earth -- continents full of deserts and forest, blue ocean depths, and mountains projecting from the plains.
This pendant is 1.75 inches long and 0.75 inches wide, and it hangs on a solid sterling silver tube bail. All of my dichroic stack pendants are irreproducible and one of a kind.
