kalluna earrings fine silver
Description
a sprig from my heather plant was used for the relief in these rectangles of eco friendly fine silver.'kalluna' is Greek name of the plant, meaning 'to brush'.
hmmm.. an interesting bit of history~ heather was used by the Picts in Scotland to make heather ale, even 3,000 years ago! Possibly the oldest of the ales...
and it also had practical uses (aside from getting one inebriated), it was also used to make rope and brooms.
total length from the top of the ear wire~ 1 7/8"
fine silver rectangles measure just over 1/4" w, 1 1/8" l
