Crow I, Dry Point and Carborundum Etching
Description
I've made a series of small crow etchings specifically for sale on etsy. I've been researching crows in myths and legends and found that they are a symbol of an auspicious marriage due to the fact that they mate for life. According to Roman myth it is a good omen to see two crows or ravens on your wedding day! This 6 x 6 cm (approx. 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches) hand pulled print is a carborundum collograph made on a copper plate with dry point etching. It is printed with a very deep blue ink and is one in an edition of 10. The paper used is highest quality warm white Hahnemulhe cotton rag paper. Each print may vary slightly due to the hand made nature of this technique.
