A7 Olive and Chocolate Leather Journal

Description

This is an A7 olive and chocolate leather journal. The cover is olive/khaki leather, reinforced with a chocolate leather spine. It is sewn with natural coloured, waxed Irish linen thread, using chain and long stitch. The back cover wraps around the side of the pages over the front cover. The closure is a chocolate leather button and unwaxed linen thread.

The technique for this journal is based on medieval bookbinding techniques. One advantage of this style of binding is that the journal will lie completely flat when opened.

There are 160 pages (5 sections of 8 pages each) counting both sides of the paper. The paper is 110gsm weight, artist quality paper suitable for dry and wet mediums. The pages are straight cut and the pages have not been trimmed, this means that all pages are the same size.
The journal is A7 size - 7.5cm x 11cm or 3" x 4 1/2".
