Dress - Black Bib Front Vintage Wiggle Dress Size 8

Description

It's a classic! Delightful vintage 1950s (or later) unique double-breasted bib-front dress the way down the front. Short sleeves, back metal zipper and belt loops. The skirt is pleated into the waist at the front.
The material is lightweight and slubby (textured), it could be silk. Some of the seams are pinked, it appears handmade.

It is in excellent condition!
All tags missing.
Size tag: none, but probably today's size 8

It measures 45 inches (1.14 m) from the shoulder seam to the hem. The following measurements are taken flat, from side to side, so they need to be doubled for around the body measurements.

bust: 19 inches (48.2 cm)
waist: 13.75 inches (35 cm)
hips: 20 inches (50.7 cm)

My size 8 model is 5 feet 7 inches (1.71 m) tall.
Her measurements are -
bust: 35 inches (89 cm)
waist: 28.5 inches (72.5 cm)
hips: 39 inches (99 cm)

This garment now resides in a smoke-free, cat-loving home.
