Soap, Gift of the Magi 'treatment' soap
Description
The scent is the inspiration behind this soap, 'the gift of the Magi', it inspires thoughts of jewel studded coffers lined in rich brown velvet filled with treasure from the Far East...and three men on camels!Every thing that I've added to this bar has a rich luxurious purpose to make this a bar fit for a King. It is an amber caramel color with streaks of dark brown swirling gently throughout. I call it a treatment bar because everytime you use it your skin benifits from the additives I've used.
These bars weigh 4.5 to over 5 ounces and the largest bars go first.
Additives include: Allantoin, Frankincense, ground leaves of the Neem tree that is grown in India, red Kaolin clay, Cinnamon, Cocoa powder. Included in the oils are olive oil and shea butter for their antibacterial and super moisturizing properties, Coconut oil, (lather maker) and soy and vegetable oil.
Properties of additives:
Allantoin:Manufacturers cite several beneficial effects for allantoin as an active ingredient in over-the-counter cosmetics: a moisturizing and keratolytic effect, increasing the water content of the extracellular matrix and enhancing the desquamation of upper layers of dead skin cells, increasing the smoothness of the skin; promotion of cell proliferation and wound healing; and a soothing, anti-irritant, and skin protectant effect by forming complexes with irritant and sensitizing agents.
Frankincense was one of the gifts of the Magi. Tradition says that it was presented to the Christ Child by Balthasar, the black king from Ethiopia.Frankincense was the purest incense. When burned it produced a white smoke which symbolized the prayers and praises of the faithful ascending to heaven. Because the ancients often burned frankincense during religious rituals, this gift symbolizes sacrifice, Christ's divinity, His sweet savor, and His priestly role. It is also a symbol of the Divine name of God.
This is the ground leaves of the Neem tree that is grown in India. In its native country this tree is highly valuable for its medicinal benefits. It is used for its proven antibacterial and antiviral activity. In India, the leaves from the neem tree are prized for their healing benefits. Due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties, the leaves are incorporated into many skin care recipes for such issues as such as acne, eczema, ringworm, and common skin infections
Red Kaolin clay has the ability to quickly absorb dirt, oil and bacteria from your pores and is used in the finest spas for facials and herbal body packs,
Cinnamon is one of the oldest spices known. It was mentioned in the Bible and was used in ancient Egypt not only as a beverage flavoring and medicine, but also as an embalming agent. It was so highly treasured that it was considered more precious than gold. Around this time, cinnamon also received much attention in China, which is reflected in its mention in one of the earliest books on Chinese botanical medicine, dated around 2,700 B.C.
Chocolate, Cacao, Cocoa (aka: Fruit of Gods or Theobroma [name of the tree], cabosse [name of the actual fruit]) is one of the most nourishing food known to man. It contains calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, vitamins A1, B1, B2, C, D, E, phosphorous & chromium.
