The method I work in the original painting is needle felting wool fibers on a felt surface.
The fibers I usually used are Shetland wool that I hand paint with ecological colors, commercial Shetland wool roving and commercial wool from the Alps both painted with ecological colors.
The wool I hand paint have a lot of shades of one specific color –a little bit lighter, a little bit darker and so on-that makes the picture rich in colors.
This method of needle felting is a new art that develop lately.
I teach at waldorf education for adults all kind of needle felting-soft sculpture and wool painting- I do enjoy every moment.
