Hand-Dyed Merino Blend - 100,000 Fireflies - Worsted - 50g

Description

Fireflies inspire particular kind of wonder with their glittering luminescence, especially backed by the rich tones of a summer sunset. This yarn started out as a pastel yellow, but I decided to include it in the August dyeing rampage. I feared the purple wouldn't play nice with the yellow, but it startled me with how nicely it warmed the color instead. The brown gently toned the yellow to a nutty yellow.

All yarns are carefully unraveled, gently skeined and washed, then steamed to relax the texture. This yarn was dyed with Jacquard acid dyes. Please note that while we are as careful as possible, occasional knots turn up in recycled yarn.
