Handmade Stoneware Daisy Buttons

Description

Fresh from the kiln here are five daisy shaped/colored flower buttons that might make a perfect closure or embellishment for a variety of handmade items.

Using soft ecru stoneware clay, I hand-sculpted each button individually---no molds or stamps were used to make these buttons. Since they are hand formed, there may be very slight variations in size. I used a pretty eggshell white glaze on the petals, and a golden yellow to accent the centers. The buttons are fully glazed on the front, partially glazed on the back and meticulously finished to be very, very smooth so they will function easily and not snag delicate fabrics or yarns.

Each button measures just under 1 1/2" (3.8cm) inches in diameter, a smidgen less than 1/8" (<3mm) thick and is a lightweight 1/8th ounce (4 grams). Buttons will be sent neatly carded and enclosed in a gift box. The buttons are washable---laundering suggestions will be included with purchase.
