EDITH ZINE ISSUE ONE

Description

I asked a few friends to give me ten words. With each group of ten words, I wrote a story. There are five stories in this collection and they are called: Wait, Figure Skaters, Exhaustion, Found Objects, and Leaving. They are all fiction.

The first issue of Edith was compiled and cut & pasted in August 2009. It is subtitled Tales of Survival. The girls in these stories may at times seem quiet, lonely, and sad but they are also passionate, resilient, and optimistic. They wake up early to ride bikes and work on art projects, they pretend they're standing at the edge of the ocean when they're in somebody else's bed, they miss their old friends. They write and they dream and they create homes for themselves. Through imagination, reality, or both, they all find a way.

Edith is quarter-sized, 28 pages.
The cover is printed on lilac paper.
