Introducing Linocut Prints! SPECIAL PRICE on this edition!

This little Pied Butcherbird, a native songbird of Australia, appeared one day knocking on the window at 8am in the morning, making his most adorable "give me food now" face. Irresistible! Seriously, he perched right on the windowsill, looked inside for people, and when at first we didn't see him, he knocked to get our attention.

Unfortunately, all he got for his memorable efforts that day was a piece of cheese - this songbird eats insects, small lizards and other meat, and he knocked on the window of a vegetarian family! He did sing for us as a "thank you", but I think he later started going to the neighbours' house for his breakfasts. :)

This original design is a one-of-a-kind hand-pulled print. First I carved the design in a block of artists' linoleum by hand, then created the print using water-based ink, applied to 190gsm acid-free watercolour paper. No two prints are exactly the same, and this is a limited edition of only 10.

All prints are numbered and personally signed in pencil by the artist.

It will be shipped to you flat, protected by a clear plastic sleeve, carefully sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of recycled cardboard (I try to be as 'green' as I can) and in an envelope.
