Upcycled Journal/Sketchbook .The Ransom Note.

Description

This book has been created by recycling a vintage hardback childrens book named "The Ransom Note". Inside it is filled with 60 blank pages of white sulphite drawing paper, which is heavy weight (80 lb) and has a bit of texture to it. This paper accepts most media well, including ink pen, pencil and markers. The pages are hand-cut and sewn together using coptic binding which allows it to open nice and flat, and the exposed yellow stitching on the spine is awesome! Inside the covers are end pages made of glitter scrapbook paper made with glitter that stays put so you're not covered in it. This book also features a kitscy owl bookplate in the front cover so you can mark this book as all yours!

As an art student I was always disappointed about how boring commercial sketchbooks and journals were. They killed creativity rather than inspiring it, and I brought mine to class only to find that it looked like everyone else’s. I have created these one-of-a-kind books so you can own a journal or sketchbook that reflects your own unique style- you’re days of blending in are over!

There are so many fun possibilities with this design! It makes a great journal, sketchbook, or diary and is durable enough to hold up well inside a backpack or purse. (I carry mine everywhere!)
