Squares and Lines, batik silk shawl

Description

Lovely soft coloured shawl, little wrap or long scarf. Can be worn in many ways and will adapt to any ocasion adding the beautiful elegance of handpainted silk to your outfit.

I painted this one with an abstract linear composition, composed of sqaures and lines. I used the batik technique which consists of reserving areas with wax and then adding colour. Creamy, salmon, pinky oranges, steam fixed and permanent, painted on crepe de chine 8, hand rolled silk, 40x150 cm. (16x60 inches).

Given a little care, this unique piece of silk will a long time companion!
