Description
this original encaustic work was created on a wood panel and is matted and framed.encaustic painting is the process of mixing beeswax and oil paint which produces a a wonderfully rich, tactile surface.
layers of encaustic are heat fused together, then i transfer my drawings, apply paint details or another layer of encaustic, then finish with an ink rub that dulls the color a bit and highlights the recessed areas on the panel.
it is ready to hang or can can be displayed on a table or shelf.
