Description

This handspun yarn is a 4-strand cabled yarn, which means that it's two 2-ply yarns cabled into each other. The yellow single is 100% hand-dyed alpaca fiber from my own alpaca, Cinnamon (pictured), and the purple is a very soft 100% superwash wool.

Recommended needle size: 7-8 US
Yardage: 120 yards

Handspun yarns are set apart from millspun yarns by their unique characteristics. This yarn is a mostly even gauge with the occasional thicker or thinner spot, giving the yarn a unique texture that cannot easily be found in millspun yarns. Cabled yarns are notable for their strength, durability, and resistance to pilling.
