Bird feeder made from recycled, upcycled, traffic signal lenses made of a thick durable plastic. Roof and base are plastic lenses. Rich red roof and beautiful warm amber yellow base-both were lighting up the road ways years past, warning us to slow down then stop. This feeder is a nice reminder to slow down and enjoy your garden space no matter how big or small.

Not only is the main body of this feeder upcycled material, but also are the rubber washers and the "s" shaped hooks that connect the base which is upcycled used brass chain. Stainless steel cable, and various hardware comprise the hanging wire. A perfect addition for your urban garden.

The design allows for the base to be removed from the top and therefor very easy to clean. If you are new to back yard bird feeding and need a little extra help attracting birds, the top can be removed to make the bird seed more visible. Unhook the base from the roof and just add twine or string to the loops at the bottom piece and hang without the roof. This function is true for all my bird feeders.

The traffic lenses are very dirty when I get them. I clean them and then use plastic polish to rub out the scratches-but some scratches, scuffs, chips and bruises remain, so there is still a sign of their history. I have stamped a bird image into several of the cable stops on the feeder. The roof measures 12 inches across and the base is 8 inches across

The first two and last two photos show the exact feeder you will receive. Other images are very similar with different color arrangement and/or hardware.
