Aside from the silly cartoon, mushrooms are one of my favorite motifs. I love to eat them, find them in the woods, or buy household items displaying mushrooms. I also enjoy making neat little cross-stitch images, so this seemed like a great idea.

The embroidery thread is made up of fantastic alternating rust variation colors. I stitched the mushroom design on 28 count "tea" colored linen. The frame is flexible and designed to look like wood.

I designed the back of this piece on a whim. I think it looks a little rough, but in a rustic, charming way.

From the top of the hanging loop the piece is 5 and a quarter inches tall by 4 and a half inches wide. Or 13.5 by 11.7 cm.
