This is a set of six hand-dyed silk playsilks measuring our most popular size of 35 by 35 inches in a full set of rainbow colors! This size is the perfect size for all sorts of imaginative play. A basket of play silks in the corner of the room is the perfect toy and can provide hours of open-ended play for all ages. They are perfect for dancing and twirling, building forts, creating stages and backdrops for puppets, tying on as capes or fairy skirts or other dress-up items and other dramatic play. The soft feel of silk is excellent for developing babies, providing a wonderful sensory experience as they grab the fabric and focus on the colors. They are great for "peek-a-boo" and other games for older babies. And they make the perfect soft, lightweight and comforting covering for sleeping little ones.

As a mother to five children ages 6 weeks to 11, I can guarantee that the first things that I grab to entertain little ones when going out or even on vacation are a couple of play silks! Introducing your child, grandchild or other special child in your life to the wonder of playing with silk is a truly wonderful gift that will last for many years.

I offer play silks in many sizes and colors. Larger silks can be used for building forts and canopies as well as more versatile dress-up play for older children. Smaller silks are wonderful for smaller hands. I create silks in complex patterns as well as in simpler marbled, crinkle and solid designs. I am currently accepting custom orders and am happy to work with you to create colors of your choosing should you not see what you are looking for in stock. I also create custom gift packages consisting of silks in different sizes, colors and patterns to suit your needs.

Other information: Play silks are easy to care for and may be hand or machine washed on gentle, line dried or tumble dried on low for a few minutes and steam-ironed if desired. They are created using non-toxic professional dyes that will last for many moons.
