Sunny Sunflowers Drawstring Purse

I always look forward to late summer and early autumn when the sunflowers have reached their full glory and shimmer in the sunshine. It's amazing how much power is in a tiny seed to produce something so incredibly big and beautiful! My love of these flowers inspired this Sunny Sunflowers Drawstring Purse. It's made of a natural-colored cotton printed with large flowers and paired with a sunny yellow mini-print lining and handle. I used a small daisy print on dark green to construct the 6 outside pockets and trimmed them with a dark green pleated cotton trim. I hand-quilted the upper part of the bag around the flowers for a sweet touch that adds additional softness to the bag, which is lined with fleece batting. It stands on its own, and has a removeable insert to reinforce the bottom.
