In the summer of 1816 a group of friends were forced indoors due to incliment weather. They entertained themselves by reading ghost stories. The host, Lord Byron, challenged his guests to write their own frightful tales. Mary Shelley, then 19 years old, created Frankenstein.

Mary Shelley's Portrait is an original fusion of images. It combines an 1840 portrait of Mary with a page of her original manuscript and an illustration from the 1831 novel. It is printed in archival inks on glossy paper & has been treated with a UV resistant finish. Image measures approximately 4 x 5.75

This piece comes with either a 5 x 7 or 8 x10 acid free white mat. Just note which size mat you want when purchasing. Both will fit in a standard frame. The 1st and last thumbnail pics show the different size mats.
