Rust and Tan Paper Flower bookmark tie on bow

Description

This lovely vintage look flower can be used as a bookmark or it can be tied around the neck of a vase or jar or tied onto a basket. It would look great tied around the neck of a wine bottle you are giving as a gift. With a little creativity, there are many ways to use this unique paper flower.

It was made by layering a solid card stock paper and a printed paper. I have burned the edges and some of the creases to give it an older vintage feel. For the center of the flower I used a pearly rust glass bead. Underneath the flower are two green paper leaves which are strung on, so they can be twisted around and positioned as you wish.

It is held together with glue and strung together with green embroidery floss. The floss hangs down about 10.75" from the bottom of the flower to the top of the beads. I hung two glass beads at the end of each floss strand. When flattened, the flower is a tad under 4" across.

If you should find the string too long for your needs, you can move the beads up the string, reknot, and trim.

Please keep in mind that this flower is paper and therefore somewhat fragile. It should not be placed anywhere that it would get wet or would be subject to abuse.

This item will most likely ship flattened in a bubble mailer. To fluff it up, just use both hands to pinch the creases.
