We already know Poppets like to read.
This Poppet is inspired by my own
childhood---years of reading on
rainy Saturday afternoons.
Dr. Seuss, Beatrix Potter,Richard Adams, then H.G. Wells, Edgar Allen Poe, H. P. Lovecraft,
Issac Aismov and on and on.
Sometimes I believe the best of my education
was had there. I'll always be grateful to my
dad, who faithfully drove me to the library
every weekend.
Over the years I've seen my own children in this
same position, pouring over their own books.
I'm filled with admiration and appreciation for the
authors who created them.
Saturday Afternoon Reading is an open edition Poppet, hand cast and hand painted at Strange Studios.
