I harvested the fiber by plucking so it is ideal for the hand spinner who wants to spin it pure, directly from the container. No carding necessary!

Of course you might also want to blend the angora with sheep’s wool or some other fiber. I generally recommend this since pure angora is such a good insulator that you might get too hot.

My bunnies are kept well groomed and in a clean environment. Normally I pluck directly into a plastic clamshell container without washing the fiber first but in this case I plucked into a basket to be transferred to a clamshell. Even so the wool is very clean and without odor. The container protects the wool from being crushed, compacted, and matted. I have labeled the clamshell with a photo of my lovely bunny. You will love spinning this!
