Vintage Enamel Playing Card Case

This elegant little box is marked Japan on the bottom. There's another mark that looks like it may be written in Japanese, but I can't quite make it out because it's prety worn away there.

The box is metal, and it's heavy! It's painted in a pretty apple green enamel. It looks like it's from the twenties. It would also look so nice on someone's desk, holding their business cards. Think about it...you could give the box as a gift and keep the playing cards for yourself! ;)

The box contains two beautiful vintage decks of playing cards. Both are complete. The Ace of Spades in each deck is unique. The black and gold deck is marked Made in
U. S. A. (8612-25A), and the Ace of Spades in the deck with the man carrying the jugs is marked Y2806 (I think the 25 & the 28 represent the years of production).

The box and the cards inside are in great shape, but they do reflect the normal ware that you'd expect from something of this age
