Winter Aspen Inspired Knit Shawl

Description

I knit this shawl in many shades and textures of gray, white, cream and a bit of tan, all colors inspired by the trunks of our Aspens here in Colorado.

One of the yarns I used has a fleck of metallic gold to it, and another has a bit of metallic silver. Textures go from regular worsted yarn, fluffy fur, eyelash, and sort of ribbon yarn I recycled by cutting up a cotton tee shirt. I used at least 14 different yarns, all in cotton, acrylic, and nylon. This shawl is soft, and very cuddly. You'll love wrapping up in it, when the weather turns chilly.

This shawl, or stole, is a rectangle, 20 inches wide, and 75 inches long, not including the 7 inch fringe. Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap, roll up in a towel to absorb the water, and then dry flat.
