When I bought this rare Russian charoite stone, I was so attracted to the beautiful purple color but I assumed it would not be as pretty as the picture...to my surprise, it is even prettier. It is a beautiful purple color with dark and light highlights throughout. The small amethyst matches it perfectly.

The fancy gallery bezel wire around the charoite sets it off beautifully. I was torn as to whether I should make this into a cocktail ring or a necklace and I am so glad I made it into a necklace.

The pendant has been polished to a high shine with a bail made of 12 ga sterling wire and hangs from a silky smooth sterling chain. Thanks to my buddy on the prairie for suggesting the orientation of the pendant.
