Traditionally a snood is a type of headgear, historically worn by women over their long hair. In the most common form it resembles a close-fitting hood worn over the back of the head.

My version fitting over the whole head, reminds you of the 70's, straight hair looks wonderful. My Niece loves the one I made for her and it makes me want long straight hair!

As you can see if looks great over hair that's kind of curly too!

These are hand-knit from cotton and with the lacy pattern do stretch a bit to fit all sizes.

I have made one in Pink and my favorite the Black.
