I was inspired to paint this after reading a delightful story based on the season of autumn. They say it's the "fall" but the colours are still warm and alive.

This is my original illustration, hand drawn in pen and ink and then coloured with watercolours. The leafy background was added later digitally. The artwork has a vintage-like feel to it and has subtle colours that soothe the eye.
