And Then She Felt Fluttering

Description

In a far off land lived a warrior princess...
She had began tying a braided rope around her neck for every moment in her life that pained her heart…
Over time her ropes had formed a shield, it made her feel safe and protected…
Over more time she began to feel weary and tired, her heart felt heavy and she felt alone…
One day she was sitting by a river dipping her toes in the water…
She was trying to remember the last time she smiled…she could not.
She was trying to remember the last time she loved….she could not.
Filled with trust and knowing she slowly lifted the braids of rope of her body…
She laid them down in the water…
The braids floated for a little while and then they sunk down to the bottom…
She lay down with a smile and stared at the open sky …
Her heart felt like it was growing, getting bigger and bigger…
And then she felt fluttering…
Out of her heart exploded exquisite golden butterflies…
They enveloped her body and carried her away past the sun, past the moon, past the stars into a whole new universe…

This piece is made of two spools of Teal and drk. chocolate brown gimp/boondoggle (I call it boondoggle but it seems to stump people when I mention it...apparently gimp is the more widely known term)
Then I braided in Peacock feathers at the ends....you can wear them behind you, or swing them around one shoulder or wear them across both shoulders....
