100 Orange Oriental Poppy Seeds

Description

Beautiful perennial poppy Very drought resistant grows wild in the fields of Alpine Utah planted by pioneers a hundred years ago (as shown in some pictures to the side). These particular seeds were grown in my yard descendants of the pioneer poppies from “The Alpine Poppy Fields”. They do best in full sun but also do well in partial shade (Partial shade is where I grow mine they get about 6 hours of morning sun they do tend to get tall and leggy though). They will Grow in almost any soil (I grow them in clay soil here no matter how hard I try to remedy it). Bush like plants about 2 feet in diameter when fully grown takes 1 season to become full grown (I would plant them now and they should be good size before first frost and will bloom in the late spring next year). Flowers come singly on about 1 to 2 foot stems (depending on amount of shade). I looked them up online and the zones they give are 3-9.
