Inspired by the Norwegian fairy tale, East of the Sun and West of the Moon. The peasant girl rides on the back of the white bear to her new home in his castle, leaving her family behind.

"Hold tight to my shaggy coat" said the bear, "and no harm will come to you"

In versions I've read the peasant is only called lassie, so I've given her a proper name.... Snowdrop. She is a favorite heroine of mine because she does the rescuing of her prince who is under a spell, in an adventure that takes her, well .. east of the sun west of the moon!

Print is in archival epson inks on premium epson mat paper, 8x10 signed by the artist
