Flight of Pegasus Necklace - Light Classical Collection

Description

Part of my Light Classical Collection, a playful tribute to ancient Greek and Roman style, with mythological motifs.

This necklace celebrates Pegasus, the heroic winged horse who was immortalized by Zeus as a constellation.

A brass stamped charm pendant, portraying Pegasus in a glorious framework amid the clouds, has been painted white, slightly distressed, and sealed (take ordinary care not to scratch the painted finish).

A luminous, vintage pink carnival glass bead with an iridescent finish hangs above the charm at the center of the necklace.

Sky blue faceted glass beads dangle on gold plated paddle pins, like drops of water from the inspiring springs that were said to burst forth wherever Pegasus struck his hoof.

The gold tone, textured cable chain necklace measures about 15" and fastens with a simple, elegant hook closure.

Delicate pink Czech glass beads with an aurora borealis finish and tiny light blue seed beads add color and sparkle at the back of the neck.
