Aurora Series Solar Dyed Superwash Merino Wool Sock Yarn (4 oz, 450 yards approx.)

Description

This is my new series of solar dyed sock yarns in colors inspired by Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights.

The base yarn is wonderful merino "TREADSOFT SUPERWASH" sock yarn, hand dyed by me using the sun! I used solar heat to set the dye, so as well as being very beautiful it is also energy smart yarn.

I hand-painted the yarn using professional washfast acid dyes in navy, violet and hot fuchsia.

100% superwash merino
fingering weight

114 grams/4 oz
approx. 450 yards
Gauge: 6-8 sts per inch, needle size US 2-4
