Stitched Ladybug - with Origami paper

Description

This is an original 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inch mixed media painting on watercolor paper entitled: Stitched Ladybug.

My insect series uses a combination of watercolors and acrylics with the addition of ink to capture the delicate intricacies of my favorite creepy crawlies. I hand stitches the circles on with a variety of thread colors. The decorative paper selections used range from origami to vintage free endpaper for old encyclopedias.

All works are signed and titled. The watermarks are for copyright purposes only and do not appear on actual painting.
