Light - Original Woodblock Print
Description
Light is the third in a series of three prints of Indian stray dogs. These prints depict dogs that I have met during my travels to India. Many majestic strays wander the streets of Pune looking for a bit of food or some cool shade. These strays embody the often difficult, but beautiful world of India. Light (or Pradeep) is a Hindi name. I wanted to give this nameless dog a suitable title that matched his demeanor.Light is an original three-color handcarved color woodcut print from a limited edition numbered 6 of 15. This piece is numbered and signed in pencil. The image area is about 7.5" x 8.25". Printed on handmade acid-free Japanese printmaking paper in the traditional Japanese moku hanga style with artist grade watercolor pigments.
This print comes mounted with photo corners on acid-free mat board and packaged in an archival crystal clear resealable bag.
