Hand Spun Art Yarn

Batt-tacular yarns are yarns spun from carded/blended batts of fiber. FunctionArt yarns are my version of an art yarn - fun and FUNCTIONAL.

Here is a deep, dark skein spun by me from a LOOP Spontaneous Spinning batt from loop.etsy.com (Lochness) - her SSBs are wonderful spontaneous blends of various fibers and sparkle. This one includes alpaca, merino, corriedale, mohair, tencel, tussah silk, silk noil, angelina, firestar, cotton neps, bamboo neps, and bamboo. I spun in novelty yarn snippets (from beckandcallgirl.etsy.com in "beachcomber" colors) and plied with two greenish/blue threads. You also get the two plastic snakes shown in the picture, just for fun! :)

SKEIN 1 : 64 yards, 3.2 oz/92 grams
SKEIN 2 : 30 yards, 1.5 oz/42 grams

Recommended needles: 11 and higher
Recommended hook: M or higher

Hand wash cold, dry flat
