1912 Peacock Flower Brooch
Description
I made this brooch following an Irish crochet pattern from 1912, but I made it larger and added colour.This is a large pin, measuring 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches high. It is made from crochet cotton and has a pin at the back. I stiffened it slightly with PVA glue so that the circles surrounding the flower would stand up, but the front is soft and has not been glued so that the texture is true.
