SUNSET ON THE MOUNTAIN- 225yards handspun art yarn

Description

This yarn has a little bit of everything. In 2 skeins (one small, at 51 yards, and one large at 174) equaling 225 yards of scrumptious art yarn, you get a variety of colors with a touchable-soft texture. To me it looks like the sun setting in pinks and purples over a snow-capped mountain range.

I handcarded together bombyx silk, merino, in a variety of shades of green, milk fiber (the bright pink, hand-dyed by Etsy artist MoonwoodFarm) icicle (a white nylon to add sparkle), white ingeo (a fiber made from corn), and other wools (of unknown types.) To this I added bits of purple/blue/pink tussah silk (hand-dyed by Etsy artist Exclusivelylindalee) which I'd spun into a single, then cut into pieces to add texture and hints of color throughout this skein. The end result is a truly one of a kind 2ply handspun, in enough yardage for you to knit, weave or crochet a truly memorable piece of your own. Not only that, but because this is spun mostly regular (a bit thick and thin, but averaging 12wpi), this art yarn can be used in a wide variety projects.
