Petite Bluebell Kanzashi

Description

This little blue and white kanzashi has a gentle and dainty look that reminds me of winter turning to springtime. The petals on the dangling branches are pointed and there are two pretty sounding silver bells, one attached to each end, and a beautiful pale blue glass pearl as the flower center.

It's made from habotai silk and each petal is individually hand dyed, hand folded and mounted by yours truly.

It's mounted on a simple metal alligator clip for easy, comfortable wear. It comes in a black glossy gift box, too.

The bloom is just about 1.5" wide with 2" branches.

---Kanzashi Background & Care---
Kanzashi are hair ornaments worn in traditional Japanese hair styles, most often seen adorning geisha or maiko or worn with kimono attire. Flower kanzashi are called 'hana kanzashi' and the traditional technique used to make this type is called 'tsumami'.

All of my kanzashi are made using as many traditional Japanese techniques and materials as is possible. The few modern materials I use are only done so to make the assembly stronger for more liberal wear.
