Edwardian Evening Gown....black silk de chine with antique blue embroidered trim

You'd be fit to dine on the Titanic in this Edwardian historical costume based on the styles from 1910-1913. This gown is made from silk crepe de chine, flatlined in cotton, and lined in a lightweight, slip-like silk layer. This dress is elegant and flattering, hugging yet flattering your curves. The skirt is narrow, verging on the "hobble" skirts of the 19 teens but with a little more room for the modern day woman. The bodice is fitted, and opens along a hidden side front placket. The silk chiffon overdress is trimmed with 80+ year old, antique embroidered net trim, which was truly a find. It has rich blue flowers and outlines in silver metal thread. This trim runs down the asymmetrical front and back tail, as well. The sleeves are split along the outside of the arm from shoulder to elbow, and tied into a small knot, adding visual interest.

The hem of the skirt is lined in bright blue contrast cotton, which, while protecting the silk from dust and ground, adds a splash of unexpected color, as the back train has a tendency to flip up when one walks.

This dress has been worn a couple of times for a few hours each, and as such, is reduced in price somewhat.

This dress is a unique, un-reproducible garment. It has been crafted with the utmost attention to detail and quality. It will fit someone with the following measurement range (or corseted measurement range...a corset is suggested but not necessary):

Bust: 32-35"
Waist: 26-28"
Hip: 36-40"
Height: 5'5"-5'8" (depending on how long you want the dress to be: the model in the pictures is on the upper end of these measurements and 5'6", for reference)
