Kettle Dyed Roving - 5.5 oz

Description

This gorgeous roving is hand dyed by myself using professional dyes chosen for their excellent wash and light fastness. I strive for deep, rich saturated colors in my rovings and yarns. The colors in this one are deep shades of purles, magenta, mauve and violet.

Spinning kettle dyed yarn is always exciting as it produces a variegated effect that is fun to watch play out while spinning, as well as in the final project.

The roving is made from 4.6 oz of 100% Corriedale wool, enough to spin a good sized skein. Corriedale is a long stapled fiber, favored by spinners for it's softness and ease of spinning. It is an excellent choice for next to the skin wear and also for felting projects.
