Sometimes we overlook the obvious sources for some really amazing gemstones. We have a supplier here in the USA from whom we purchase a great deal of raw sterling silver and sterling castings. They have always carried rhodolite garnets at reasonable prices but I never considered the possibility that they might look better in person than they did in the catalog. My bad!!!Having a hard time tracking down rhodolites from my usual sources, I added just a few to my recent silver supply order and, WOW, I was totally amazed when I opened the parcel of little raspberry beauties! Not only are they eye clean but the fire is a true raspberry color. Just a little bit of light really sets these beauties glowing!
Coming in at approx. 5mm round, we hand set these untreated, semi-precious gemstones into simple 4-prong settings of fine quality sterling silver. We will include both sterling silver butterfly catches and silicone stoppers to hold them in place.
We've already ordered more, I can't believe we've been missing out on these rhodolites for years!!!
