Bitter Sweet Dress and Capelet

I will admit that I am easily prone to obsession over dresses. it's sort of why I'm here. occasionally, though, the meter will malfunction because it is so off the charts and somehow, that was the case with this little ensemble.

not a jacket, but a little capelet. not just cotton, but the most amazing burlap like woven cotton blend (the dress is unlined but it's not itchy at all). the original belt. huge, mother of pearl buttons on the front of the tiny cape.

I've had this hanging in my closet for quite some time and could never bear to let go of it, even though it just never fit right. I paid about a million dollars for it and frankly, would continue to hold on to it if I didn't have a feeling that someone shopping vintage on etsy would enjoy wearing just as much as I have enjoyed looking at it! and this set deserves to be worn.
