Ubiquitous reminders of an earlier age, these imposing tanks still litter the rooftops of 21st Century Manhattan. It wouldn't be a NYC skyline without them.

Then again, the NYC skyline has a more Dickensian color palette than this painting, eh? I love it still -- I wish this were the view from my window.
