Solar Dyed Eco Friendly Wool Roving - Preppie Pink (R21)

Description

Here is a generous bump of 4.1 ounces of bouncy wool romney roving, hand dyed with professional dye in hues of blue and grape. Great for handspinning, felting, weaving or other fiber crafts.

With Arizona temperatures well above 100 degrees this time of year, I use a solar dyeing technique and time my dyebaths to coincide with the hottest summer days. It's easiest on the environment and also yields these wonderful well saturated colors that have been kissed with sunshine. The solar dyebaths get so hot during the daytime that I can't even remove the fiber from the dyebath until it's had a chance to cool off overnight!

My raw wool is obtained from free range or pasture raised sheep here in Arizona.
