Mimosa Orange Carnelian Gemstone and Copper Earrings Niobium Wires

The carnelian gemstone beads in these earrings are the shade of one of the new Pantone colors, an orange called "Mimosa" : ) It's a nice subtle shade, definitely not an InYourFace kind of orange...

The beautiful and translucent carnelian rectangles have a slight pillow shape. They measure 1/2 inch in length and approx. 3/8 inch wide x 1/8 inch thick, or 12mm x 8mm x 3.5mm. I have accented them with tiny copper beads and wire wrapped them with aged copper headpins to a bright twisted copper ring. The earwires are niobium in a dark bronze, almost black color, accented with a bright copper niobium bead. Niobium is a hypoallergenic metal, so those of you sensitive to copper will be able to wear these.

The length from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the drop is 1-1/2 inches, or just under 4cm.

~Carnelian is a type of chalcedony, and was once a stone reserved for nobility. It is known as a protective stone which dissipates negativity. It is said to protect against poverty, and it helps self-esteem and maintaining a good mood. Carnelian is especially known for being an energy stone, so wear it when you want to feel energetic and get lots done~
