Onion Storage Light Brown Fiber Rush

10-12" high plus 4.5" for the handle (handles vary somewhat in height)
9" wide tapering to a 5-6" opening

This is quite a bit larger than last year's onion basket. You can put Walla Wallas in here or just fill it with your favorite onions or even potatoes. Use your imagination - fill it with oranges or get one with a wide opening and use it for newborn photography.

As in our other onion baskets, the material is called "fibre rush" - essentially a tightly twisted brown paper. I've found it to be amazingly durable and have had garlic and onion baskets, woven from fiber rush, hanging in my kitchen since 1997. There are still about 6 of these lighter brown baskets. When they're gone, we'll be back to just the dark brown.

* It's best not to immerse these in water, but they can be spot cleaned, dusted, and quickly brushed with a slightly damp sponge, then air dried. A friend has a set of these for onion and garlic and they've hung in his kitchen since 2001, with no problems.

Handles are bound to avoid twisting. These heavy-duty handles should help to extend the life of the basket. Current stock is mostly plain, without beads, but if you would like one with a little leaf and bead garnish, just ask and I'll see what I can do.

Each onion basket is different in subtle ways , but generally, they have a bulbous/baglike shape and are fairly standard in size now. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
