Crochet Pattern--Block Blanket

Description

Okay, so we all know that crochet items tend to be...well, girly. But not anymore! This baby blanket is as boyish as can be, although if you made it with some lovely pinks and purples it would make a nice girl's blanket, too.

This is an adorable blanket, especially if you have a cute baby to accessorize with it!

This pattern is super simple because it is worked in the half double stitch, but it is made using intarnsia, so you will have up to 5 colors connected to your piece at one time. I would suggest not trying this if you are a beginner and aren't used to changing colors.

The finished measurements are 28 inches by 28 inches--the perfect size for use in a car seat or pram. I made it with wool so that it would be nice for winter, but a soft cotton will make it great for spring or summer!
